Get Started: our flagship award-winning 10-week programme.

Designed by expert physiotherapists, this programme gradually builds in intensity and duration over 10 weeks until you’re able to exercise at the optimum dose for Parkinson’s.
Get Started includes everything you need to know and do to control your Parkinson’s through exercise. Workouts are accompanied by a series of weekly educational video tutorials that help you understand the theory behind the exercise.
By the end, you’ll be more physically active, have better symptom control and know how to exercise to suit your Parkinson’s symptoms.
Continuing or supplementing exercise with Parkinson’s
Exercise is Medicine: our follow-on supported programme.

If you’ve enjoyed the discipline, support and regularity of our Get Started Programme then our Exercise is Medicine Programme is for you.
Exercise is Medicine is Perfect for Get Started graduates who want to continue their exercise journey or those more comfortable with exercise who want structure and confidence in meeting the recommended exercise guidelines for Parkinson’s.
It also includes support, guidance and in-app direct messaging from a Parkinson’s exercise expert.
Exercise for Life: our add-on flexible programme.
£15/month
If you have the ability and confidence to exercise in your local community but would like to access some additional online workouts to improve your strength, flexibility and stamina, Exercise for Life is for you.
With on-demand Parkinson’s-specific workouts, Exercise for Life is ideal if you want to choose your own combination of workouts or fill gaps in your existing exercise routine to meet the recommended exercise guidelines for Parkinson’s.
This programme gives you the flexibility to be your own expert, choose the workouts that are right for you.

Reach Your Peak’s Exercise for Parkinson’s Programme FAQ’s
Is the programme safe for everyone with Parkinson’s?
Generally, yes, but we do ask a series of questions before processing payment to ensure the programme is right for someone. Individuals with significant mobility issues should get clearance or guidance from a physiotherapist or Parkinson’s nurse.
When is the best time to start the programme?
As soon as possible after diagnosis. early intervention is always better, as it helps to delay the onset of some physical symptoms and can support early symptom control.
Do we need to seek medical advice first?
We always recommend having an initial consultation with your Parkinson’s nurse or health specialist to ensure they have no safety concerns.
How does it work to slow progression of Parkinson’s?
In Parkinson’s, the cells which produce dopamine die. Less dopamine means less movement control. Exercise helps you to use dopamine more efficiently by increasing the release of chemicals, creating new neural pathways, and making the nerve cells more responsive to dopamine. Combined with the physical strength you get from exercise, this helps to slow the progression of Parkinson’s.

Absolutely. The Reach Your Peak app offers direct messaging with expert physiotherapists who can provide guidance, encouragement and help you with any troubleshooting questions.
What do we need to do to access the programme?

How flexible is the programme?
Each of our programmes has a different level of flexibility:
- Get Started workouts are structured, but you the flexibility to drag and drop workouts into chosen days and times in your app calendar to fit around your schedule.
- Exercise is Medicine workouts are structured and on demand, so you can have the best of both worlds. The contract is a rolling monthly contract which you can pause or cancel at any time.
- Exercise for Life workouts are on demand so you can do them as and when you like and, again, you can pause or cancel anytime.
Can we take a break from the programme if needed?
We understand things can crop up that can make it difficult or impossible to follow an exercise programme. If you find yourself in this position, you’ll be able to take a break and re-enter the programme when it’s convenient for you to do so.
How will the programme tutors communicate with me?
We will be available on the app via direct messaging for you to ask questions, discuss any concerns and request some motivational tips. We also host a monthly Coffee & Chat Teams session where you can interact with us too.

Can Reach Your Peak be customised?
While the core content is the same for every member, we provide options for every exercise so that you can tailor it to your individual fitness level and symptoms. As you progress through, the exercises will also become more challenging. You’ll always have options to choose how, when and what intensity to exercise at.
